Right Worshipful Master's Welcome  

It has often been said that visiting is the lifeblood of Freemasonry, and I’m certainly enjoying visiting as the new Right Worshipful Master of the Lodge.  This is second time & have been installed into the Chair of Lodge 1764 & again, I am looking foward to leading the Lodge in the ensuong 12 months. Many of us however would have never envisaged that it is now possible to visit without leaving the comfort of your own home.  Thus, to all brethren from outside Edinburgh, indeed from outside the U.K., I would like to extend warm fraternal greetings to all who are visiting the web page Lodge Edinburgh Castle No.1764.

Lodge Edinburgh Castle is relatively young Lodge, being formed in 1986, and it is the energy and commitment of our founder members and indeed, our more experienced brethren who are still active in Lodge, that drives us forward into a new generation. This new generation is one of a global community of Freemasons to whom the internet gives us the opportunity to extend the warm hand of fellowship. 

It is hoped this site will serve as a small sample of Lodge and its activities and that when we have the opportunity to meet and greet you as visitors – and this is an earnest wish – you will already feel familiar with Edinburgh Castle before you even arrive at Roseburn Gardens.

For brethren reading this who have already visited and supported the Lodge, then our best wishes go out to you and we look forward to renewing “auld acquaintance” – haste ye back!
